visions of damsels & other dangerous things

In the Fall of 2025, Chappell Roan went on a short three-stop tour. Due to a recent move and a new job, I was unable to attend the concert she had in Kansas City. Heartbroken, I sat down at my computer and feverishly poured myself into this project. I pulled color and line inspiration from her various costume and makeup looks to best inform the stylistic direction this image should take. Overall, I wanted this poster to reflect the colorful stylings of Chappell and her music while also featuring the medieval-themed costumes she likes to wear. In the end, I ended up with an amalgamation of medieval, Art Nouveau, and ornamental illustration work.
